2. Eligibility


To ensure fairness, safety, and compliance with AGMN’s mission, only individuals who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for residency, short-term rentals, or to make use of AGMN’s services.

Age Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply for sober living, rent a property, or make donations through AGMN.

  • Minors are not eligible to apply or reside at AGMN properties unless specifically approved under a family housing program.

Legal Capacity

  • By submitting an application, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

  • Applicants under guardianship or legal restriction must provide documentation of an authorized representative.

Truthfulness and Accuracy

  • All information submitted to AGMN must be truthful, accurate, and complete.

  • This includes personal details, financial records, background information, and references.

  • Providing falsified or misleading information may result in:

    • Automatic denial of application.

    • Immediate termination of residency or rental.

    • Forfeiture of deposits and fees.

    • Potential legal consequences.

Screening and Verification

Applicants may be subject to:

  • Background Checks: Criminal and housing history may be reviewed to ensure community safety.

  • Employment Verification: Required for short-term professional housing applicants (e.g., travel nurses, contractors, or temporary workers).

  • Income Verification: Applicants may be asked to provide pay stubs, bank statements, or tax records to confirm affordability.

  • Reference Checks: Personal or professional references may be contacted to assess character and reliability.

  • Credit Checks: For certain rentals, credit history may be reviewed to determine financial responsibility.

Recovery Program-Specific Requirements

For sober living applicants:

  • Referral letters may be required from probation officers, treatment centers, or social service agencies.

  • Applicants must be willing to commit to a drug-free and alcohol-free lifestyle.

  • Some programs may require proof of recent sobriety or participation in recovery support programs.

  • Willingness to attend counseling, coaching, or life-skills sessions may be required as part of the agreement.

Conditions for Donors and Supporters

  • Donors must provide accurate contact information if requesting a tax receipt.

  • Anonymous donations may be accepted, but receipts may not be issued without valid details.

  • Donors must use lawful means of payment; fraudulent transactions will be investigated.

Grounds for Denial

AGMN reserves the right to deny any application based on:

  • Submission of incomplete or false information.

  • History of violence, unsafe behavior, or serious misconduct.

  • Previous eviction or termination from an AGMN program.

  • Inability or unwillingness to comply with program or rental agreements.

  • Safety concerns for the resident community, staff, or surrounding neighborhood.

Ongoing Eligibility

  • Eligibility is not limited to initial approval — residents and guests must maintain compliance with AGMN’s policies at all times.

  • Violations of agreements, dishonesty, or unsafe conduct may result in termination of services, loss of deposits, or legal referral.

3. Applications & Fees


Application Submission

  • All applications must be submitted through AGMN’s website or authorized paper forms.

  • Applications must include accurate and complete personal, financial, and background information.

  • Incomplete or false applications will not be considered.

Application Fees

  • Certain applications may require a non-refundable application fee.

  • Fees must be paid in full at the time of submission.

  • Application fees cover processing costs, including background and verification checks, and do not guarantee acceptance.

Deposits

  • Approved applicants may be required to pay a refundable security deposit before moving in or renting.

  • Deposits will be refunded upon successful completion of the residency or rental agreement, minus any deductions for damages, unpaid balances, or violations.

Program Fees

  • Sober living and transitional housing may require weekly or monthly program fees.

  • Program fees are due in advance and must be paid on time to maintain residency.

  • Failure to pay fees may result in termination of residency.

Short-Term Rental Fees

  • Furnished short-term rentals will require rent to be paid in advance, either weekly or monthly.

  • Late payments may result in fees, loss of rental privileges, or eviction.

  • Utilities, furnishings, and services included in rent will be disclosed in the rental agreement.

Financial Assistance

  • AGMN may, at its discretion, provide or connect applicants to financial assistance programs.

  • Financial aid availability is not guaranteed and depends on funding and eligibility.

4. Donations

  • AGMN accepts donations through the website, in person, or by mail.

  • Donations are non-refundable.

  • Donors may designate contributions for specific programs, but AGMN reserves the right to redirect funds if necessary.

  • Receipts for tax purposes will be issued for qualifying donations.

  • AGMN is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.

5. Payments

  • All payments (fees, rent, deposits, and donations) must be made using approved methods (e.g., credit/debit card, ACH, or checks).

  • Returned or failed payments may result in penalties, late fees, or service termination.

  • AGMN is not responsible for errors caused by third-party payment processors.

  • Residents and donors must ensure their payment information is accurate and up to date.

6. Resident & Guest Conduct


General Expectations

  • Residents and guests must maintain respectful, lawful, and safe behavior.

  • Violence, illegal activity, harassment, or possession of weapons is strictly prohibited.

  • Loud, disruptive, or unsafe conduct may result in immediate termination of residency or rental.

Sober Living Rules

  • Absolutely no possession, use, or distribution of alcohol, illegal substances, or unauthorized prescription drugs.

  • Random drug and alcohol testing may be required.

  • Residents must attend required meetings, counseling, or programs.

  • Visitors are allowed only with prior approval, and overnight guests are generally prohibited.

Rental Property Rules

  • Short-term renters must abide by lease agreements and property rules.

  • Tenants are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and reporting damages immediately.

  • Smoking may be prohibited or restricted to designated areas.

  • Pets may be restricted based on the property.

House Maintenance

  • Residents and renters must follow house maintenance responsibilities, such as cleaning, chores, and proper trash disposal.

  • Property damages caused by negligence or misconduct will be charged to the responsible party.

Termination

  • AGMN reserves the right to terminate residency or rental agreements for violations of conduct, rules, or safety concerns.

  • Eviction or removal may occur immediately in severe cases.

  • Deposits may be forfeited upon violations.

7. Privacy

  • AGMN values your privacy and protects personal information in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Information collected through applications, donations, or website use will only be used for operational, financial, and program-related purposes.

  • AGMN will not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
